Scuba DivingScuba diving is an excellent way to see more in the Maldives. The fantastic colours of the sea life are just waiting to be explored, so if you're already a qualified PADI diver take your gear (most airlines will allow extra luggage to do this), and spend some time in the warm seas of the Maldives visiting the reefs in the region. Many islands have their own house reef, but not all. Please also bear in mind that the "house reef" may be some distance from the actual island and may involve a lengthy boat trip. If you're looking to dive and want more advise please discuss this with one of our experienced personal travel consultants. PADI Dive SchoolIf you're not already qualified and want to learn to dive, or if you just want a refresher course take advantage of the dive schools that most islands have (please discuss with us to ensure your preferred island has a dive school). The diving instructors will take you at a pace that's comfortable, and in a safe manner and help you to develop your skills so you can dive deeper. Please bear in mind that after deeper dives there are restrictions on when you can fly. SnorkellingYou don't have to scuba dive to see a wide variety of marine life. Many fish swim in shallow waters close to the shore, so you can take your face mask and snorkel and just drift around taking in the beauty of the seas. Many islands also run trips further afield for snorkellers so you might well see something different. Don't forget your underwater camera! | ||||||
